Sitting like a champ

And just like that, Gabriella figured out sitting. She had been sitting with a little support from us and on her own for up to 30 seconds or so at a time and then all of a sudden on Tuesday, she just figured it out! I still have her surrounded by pillows because when she sees something that she wants, she dives for it, but she is as happy as can be just sitting, playing with her toys. It made me realize that our house is not baby-proofed at all so this weekend we will be pulling out the outlet plugs and padding for the brick ledge around the fireplace. As soon as she figures out how to get herself up sitting by herself, we will have to lower the crib mattress so we'll be keeping a close eye on her!!

We also enjoyed nice weather early in the week and Gabriella spent time in her little pool, we've been going on lots of walks, and just playing outside. She loves being outside and sometimes when she's fussy or crying, just going outside can make it better.

And finally, for those of you anxiously awaiting the news that Benjamin has been born.... well, for now we have to keep waiting. It seems like our little nephew is very comfortable where he is :) Hopefully this weekend or next week he'll decide he's ready to enter the world!!
