First Steps

Yesterday at the library, Gabriella took her first two independent steps! She has been so close for so long- standing up without holding on, cruising along furniture and walls, and lunging from one thing to the next. She was in music class and was holding my hand while standing up. Then all of a sudden, she let go and took 2 little steps towards a chair. I cried, the other moms clapped, and Gabriella wasn't sure what had happened :) I was able to get a little video of her trying again at home; it's not the best video because as soon as she sees the phone, nothing else matters :)

Last week's visit to the assisted living home for stories and music with the residents was adorable. The residents were thrilled to have a bunch of babies and toddlers crawling and running around and all of the kids were so silly. Gabriella took to one woman and was holding on to her wheelchair and "dancing". The woman was laughing so hard and we all got a kick out of it. I wasn't able to get any photos or videos but Gianni was able to get this video of Gabriella dancing the other morning- the girl loves to shake it :)

Happy Thursday!
xo,
Mary
